Cheryl Heller is the Founding Chair of the first MFA program in Design for Social Innovation at SVA and founder of CommonWise. She has taught creativity to leaders and organizations around the world, helped grow businesses from small regional enterprises to multi-billion global market leaders, launched category-redefining divisions and products, reinvigorated moribund cultures, and designed strategies for dozens of successful entrepreneurs.She received her BFA, magna cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University and attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Harvard Design Leadership Program.
Rajiv Joshi is the Managing Director for The B Team based in New York. He formerly served as Acting Executive Director and Head of Programs for the Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP), the world’s largest civil society alliance working to end poverty and inequality. During this time he led global action towards achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, supported ‘The Elders’ with their Every Human Has Rights initiative and helped spearhead citizen participation in the establishment of a Post 2015 Sustainable Development Framework as a co-founder of ‘The World We Want 2015’ initiative.
After teaching English on Riker’s Island for three years and witnessing the traumatic effects of adult jail on youth, Jordyn came up with the concept of Drive Change, a food truck social enterprise that hires, trains and empowers formerly incarcerated youth. From 2012 – 2014, Jordyn worked for many notable re-entry/criminal justice organizations to plan for Drive Change and she simultaneously worked on the Kimchi Taco Truck to learn the food truck business. Jordyn holds a BA in English from Wesleyan University and a MA in Teaching from Pace University.
