Heidi Sloane works closely with founders of early stage startups, nonprofits and social projects, helping them to grow their models and their impact by plugging in on strategy, community building and communications. She currently works with Be Social Change, miLES and The Un-School of Disruptive Design here in New York, and at the start of the 2015 she’ll be moving to Mexico City to work with an accelerator for startups with social and environmental missions: Smart Impact. Before joining the Be Social Change team in 2013, she worked with Lean Startup Machine and was inspired by how lean startup can be used as a powerful tool for change makers tackling social and environmental issues. Throughout her time with BSC, she has been working to adapt lean startup methodology to be more accessible and applicable in the social good space. Heidi graduated from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a concentration in Alternatives & Social Change and a minor in Social Entrepreneurship through Stern/Wagner.
